Renovations to result in “State of the Art” facility
Meade High School was awarded a $113.7 million federal grant as part of a program to upgrade public schools located on military installations, according to a press release. The project is expected to be completed by fall of 2023 and will add 28,000 square feet of space to increase student capacity to 2,538 students.
Fort Meade Garrison Commander Col. Erich Spragg said the revitalization project is a source of pride for the base and for the community. “Schools are the centerpiece of the communities in which they are located, and this grant will make Meade High School a showcase,” Spragg said.
